Tiny Showhome

As promised, this post is to show some love for our big dream with a small footprint, our Tiny Showhome.

Once we got the go ahead for our Wharfside Landing project we knew that we wanted to create a fun way to have homebuyers feel like they were able to experience the quality craftsmanship that would be Wharfside Landing before we had a build complete. Our team put our heads together for a few days and sketched up an idea for a mobile, tiny showroom that featured the same finishings as the completed home build.

It took no time at all for Nick to have the basics together and the Tiny Showhome took shape. Because it is a very small space the details were going to have a big impact! By designing the space with a vaulted ceiling we were able to achieve the light and airy feel. We chose the same brushed brass finishing for the hardware to display the build renderings, and the same wood-clad wall detail that you see in the homes. The flooring is a wide, warm wood plank that gives the lakeside living feel.

We know the old saying – “It’s what inside that counts” but we also know that the exterior had to be just as lovely as the interior space. We chose a white hardiplank board and batten to mirror the exterior of the homes as well as some millwork details in the form of corbels and a decorative porch light to complete the entryway charm.

We had so much fun bringing this space to life and we couldn’t be more excited to be taking our Tiny Showhome to the 2024 Okanagan Housing Awards in March. We also have some more fun ideas of how to use this space in 2024 so stay tuned!
